General Dynamics to Develop Secure Employment Cards for U.S. Citizenship and
Immigration Services Program



FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- General Dynamics Information
Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been awarded
an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract by U.S. Department of
Homeland Security's Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to develop
secure credentials for immigrants seeking employment within the United States.
The contract has an initial value of $1 million and a maximum potential value
of $22 million over five years if all options are exercised.


Under this contract, General Dynamics will support the USCIS Employment
Authorization Document Identification Card program by developing the design
and security characteristics for the new counterfeit-resistant polycarbonate
Employment Authorization Document, an identification card issued to legal U.S.
immigrants to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the United States.
Production will begin in 2010 once the design phase has been completed.
